Spot the snowman. (He has a carrot nose!)

We've seen more families about today than in the rest of the month together. Lots of sleds around.

Excellent to have enough for a snowman ๐Ÿ™‚.

Cold work building a snowman but fun.

I did see on the internet news there were many out making the most of the snow!
We had a hard frost this morning, Ange. This is the first one this winter. No snow as yet, I think we are in a small pocket of frost only at the minute.

There were lots of "snow people" around. The children had obviously had fun, not before time.

My cat loves the snow. Costello gets excited when he sees snow everywhere. Then when I open the back door he runs out and tries to swat the snowflakes and rolls around in it.

Maudie was very taken with it, Paul. It was her first experience.

This morning I spoke to a relative who lives near Edinburgh and felt so sad for her as the snow now has ice upon it, making it treacherous to go out. The sun was out but no warmth to it, with temps. at minus for a day and a half. Roll on Spring and Summer ... I detest Winter weather ... :o(

Oh Shirley, I think this winter has been doubly difficult to deal with and the cold weather just compounds that feeling, doesn't it? There have been days with hints of Spring though and the recent blue skies have helped after all the grey. Sounds like this end of the country is back in the gloom for the rest of the week but at least the end of the month is close. Hope your friend stays safe.

It took a moment to spot the snowman Anget. We had snow too and the children were going to the fields with their sledges. They seemed so excited. The little ginger cat across the road was playing in our garden, leaping into the air, scuffing the snow, and grabbing hold of the apple tree trunk with it's paws every time he went past it. It was so funny to watch.

The cats and dogs don't lose their joy in the moment.

Thanks Anget, I messaged her earlier today and she sounded quite despondent with the weather, Covid restrictions etc. but there's little I can say to help her right now . . . :o(

Well, Shirley, the T.V.news wouldn't cheer anybody up. I keep thinking there must be something positive going on in the country that they could report as well as all the Covid stuff.
I think it must be worse for those living alone, or cooped-up with toddlers in high-rises.
It's hard to make the mental effort to try and think positively every day!

Yes all our snow disappeared overnight. Relatively mild today so I actually did some gardening, and was rewarded by the wonderful surprise of seeing two buds and a flower on my Daphne which has never flowered before!

Also a plant arrived from Hayloft, so now Iโ€™m definitely feeling that Spring isnโ€™t too far away ๐Ÿ™‚.

Yes, Sheila, We went outside a few days ago and a strong sweet scent was wafting across the back door. Our daphne 'Perfume Princess' was in flower. Lovely.

How gorgeous Ange ... is that early? We gave a friend D. Jacqueline Postill for her 60th birthday as she has a daughter called Jacqueline, and I always feel quite envious when I see it covered in blooms every year and smelling fantastic.
