These cowslips have put themselves under the caryopteris. We now seem to have red ones and a dark plum-coloured hybrid. Fascinating diversity.

What a lovely array of colours. My Cowslips aren't quite out yet. A false Oxlip is a cross between a Primrose and a Cowslip where the flowers point in all directions. Never thought of deliberately hybridising a coloured Primrose with my Cowslips. I'll do that.

Thank you all. I've no idea hoe the dark plum ?oxlip came from Siris. I have wine-coloured primroses in a close bed. Is it possible, SBG?
