Victoria is doing butterfly counts for the butterfly conservation group now up at Kilpingcoates. Went yesterday and saw 2 of these 'dancing'.

Lovely to see them Kate.. I found a tortoiseshell in my room yesterday, sat on the carpet, wings folded, waiting to watch the telly by the way it was facing. I took it outside as I wasn't putting it on then...:))

Sure is Kate. I gave the garden a good soaking today as it was extremely dry.

I know it’s parched isn’t it! OH is getting our hose out later today. I’ve only a little left in our water buts now...

Same here Kate we emptied at the base of the apple trees. I give the garden a really good soaking and then leave it until I think it's necessary again. I've been trying to tidy the shed and have placed some pots at the garden's edge in the front for people to take. I'm looking forward to collecting my plants from the nurseries soon and getting going in the garden.

Beautiful Peacock butterfly ,they seem to be getting the predominant species in my neck of the woods,the orange tips are showing as well ,lovely Kate.
