Paeonia veitchii

I love a simple white flower . . .

Me, too, but I've just put out a query on this peony on the Questions section as I suspect it isn't what I ordered. But that's fine, I love it anyway! Just want confirmation 'from them what know' one way or the other.

it does look like the white form, going by the leaves. I sent you a link to the P emodi page on the RHS site but its here again for you.

Glad you like it, Janey. I'm trying to build up a small collection of the small species ones and am a complete novice, so order on trust! The 2 that have flowered so far have exceeded my expectations.

Never seen a Peony like that before. Perhaps you have a special plant there Ange. Did you find out any information on it?

Well, Linda, I ordered a P. veitchii and all the details from the supplier said it was pink. Hence my surprise at this. I put a question out and the consensus is that it is Veitchii var. alba which is less usual. I think this correct looking at info. and pics. online.
My confusion has been confounded by the fact that I 'discovered' another Veichii in the g'house which is too small to flower! I have found an invoice for 1 plant but not 2, so have obviously had a 'senior moment' with my records. Maybe that's the pink one I had in my head and expected to see!
