Thanks both. They were part of a GW magazine Summer bulbs offer in 2010 and have slender green stems. Now I have stupidly pulled up a fair few over the years, mistaking them for Grape Hyacinth (can't stand those!) so bought some more to top up the first ones.

Here's a strange thing - when I look at 'My Garden' page, some of the photos are sideways, some of the reminders to do things are still there, although I know I have done those tasks. What is going on??

I agree Sheila . . . they are lovely when growing in a small clump.

I have some too, and they come back reliably. Such a gorgeous blue!

Anget, I have yet to see any insects on them, not a Bee nor Hoverfly. Strange, or am I just not looking at the right time?!

No, I don't think I have either. But something must fertilize them as they always set seed.

Gorgeous colour on these, Shirley..such a pretty shaped flower too. Unusual you haven’t seen my insects on them.

Kate, I haven't seen many Hoverflies around this year (yet), which is strange as usually there are so many of them. I never use chemicals in the garden so it's not that.

Josie, following the heavy rain and high winds overnight these looked dreadful first thing. Pleased to say they have perked up a little.

I'm glad they've recovered. I don't know this plant, must look out for it.
