Swallowtail butterfly munching on my Silphium perfoliatum plant

The cup plant gets about 3m tall, so it's kinda hard for the butterflies to miss !

Lucky you,, they are getting very scarce here , we don,t get many of them , there are some on the Norfolk Broads I always seem to miss them though :o(

Geat shotl, lovely speciman. I saw a swallowtail yesterday, on a pretty flower, but it was very bedraggled, so I didn't take a pic.

Thanks ladies, if you look closely, you can tell he's looking alittle rough around the edges, I believe this one has alittle age on him, or he's just a wild child...lol.
