Thanks all . . . I took a cutting of this some years ago and it's growing well in the front garden. They have totally different aspects, this one is East facing and only has sun half the day, whereas the other is South facing and has sun (remember that??) all day.

Keep it well watered in hot times. Then again, with the amount of rain this August I'm sure it will be fine!

Mine suffered badly from the frosts last winter but it has grown back nicely now. I will have to remember to protect it this winter if frost is predicted or I will be back to square one again :- ( Yours is a lovely specimen.

I always leave the browned flower heads on until early Spring, not a pretty sight, but the frost can harm those and not the flower buds!
