It’s a lovely plant Janey, hope it does well for you.

I love these but have to grow them in pots as my soil is too alkaline for it.

My soil is also alkaline Eileen, and I thought Gaultheria would be too ‘horizontal’ for a pot, but maybe I’ll give it a go in a dish …

So sorry I hadn't replied, a bit of a family crisis, but all ok now....
Thank you for all your lovely comments. I think I'll get a bag of ericaceous compost for this corner of the bed and plant the Big Berry out in the spring. I can let you know how it does then..:)
