I love this dark one too - my neighbour (sadly departed now) started a cutting off for me some years ago and it's starting to look really good now.

Julia, it really is as the new neighbours took virtually everything he had planted out of the front garden. It now has a lot of purple shale and driftwood . . . :o(

We like this variety so much we now have three!!they grow fairly fast Siris if you buy a decent size to begin with!

A lovely Shrub,Julia, I love mine too..so easy to care for.I managed to take a cutting from mine,which took ages to get going,but perserverance won in the end,and it's now a decent size in my long border :o)
