Oh, you know how to hurt, SBG! Every Feb. I mourn the 'disappeared' of the ones I have bought the year before.. Same this season - last year's 4 pots gone. I shall enjoy yours; they're mixed beautifully with the lamiums and cyclamen.

It looks so beautiful Seaburn! I am in the process of making a shady area into a woodland garden but because of the weird weather, is a slow process!

These aconites were bought from the clearance sections in the gc still in the green, Ange. I find the corms don't do too well for me, probably allowed to dry out.
Its taken a few years Rose.

Ditto, SBG. We try different sections each year, but no luck! I shall enjoy yours.

It looks a lovely carpet of aconites you have under the beech, Eileen! Well worth the wait.

Lovely wildlife area.

I think the squirrels do enjoy rummaging through but the other plants keep them more hidden. I will have to pull back the yellow archangel Lamium as it is threatening to invade the grass.
There are plenty of cultivated plants in here but they are offset with native ferns later in the spring. Come the summer it is too dry for most things. But that is typical of woodlands any way.
If its any consolation Ange the group in one of the other borders hasn't showed itself!
