Klahanie, I have not made a note of this on my garden page but think probably 3 years now. It responded well this year as I remembered to cut off all the old foliage before the blooms opened.

I love this one Shirley and it seems more upright. It almost looks like a bouquet of flowers!

Thanks Chris, today I have taken off any blooms that have gone to seed.
Klahanie, I really love them, my OH not so keen and says they should be planted up in baskets or troughs to appreciate their blooms!

Thanks ladies - even though this garden is Sussex clay - it seems by adding lots of compost and grit over the years many plants thrive in it!
