New purchase from our hols. I hope this will be one to withstand the dryness in the garden. We shall see! I'm off now to start cutting back the dead and dying in the borders. I can't dig them out yet and I can't bear to keep looking at them - it's like concrete out there!

Yes, I think this will be treated the same way, Shirley. Looking forward to downpours. They must happen at some point, surely?

We had a thundery downpour a couple of days ago, enough to fill the water butts to the brim. Rain showers forecast for Monday morning and Friday afternoon - will believe that when I see them!

We have had quite a lot of rain here, mostly overnight which is great!

Very attractive flowers, Ange. I do like the colour and shape.
We had a sort of light drizzle on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings..

Thanks for your comments, all.
The showers keep passing us by - they head to the north and south of us like Stera's experience. So frustrating!

We had enough to soak the ground but nothing since. Lovely plant Anget.

Thanks, Linda.
It's called 'Colorburst Orange'. Not very original.

Thanks, Paul. I've had these types before but the colour is new to me.

I have Phygelius 'Devil's Tears' and have kept it in a pot for now... it has been watered every third day or so in the recent heat.
