Amaryllis

One of my amaryllis bulbs decided to bloom. Now I will be curious if my others will too. I did not do anything special to it. Just left it outside and sort of forgot about it. It has a second stalk as well.

Often dryness combined with a couple of months of cold will trigger their growth. I wouldn't recommend neglect if you want the big blooms every year. They are very hungry plants & they will show their appreciation the following year if you fertilize them well.
