Your plants do seem early. My Camellia has shed a lot of buds this last week.

It is early, but wonderful to see!

I have two shrubs very sheltered by a wall , this one always blooms much earlier than the other one and is covered with buds , no sign of the buds dropping off Sue ... hopefully the "Beast from the East" will miss them ...

tight buds on, mine, but mine is usually quite late. It is in the coldest part of my garden though.
