I got mine to open a little faster by bringing it inside in the evening and putting it under the grow lights. It was actually self defense since we had winds with gusts to 100 kph. I like the solid color on this.

Interesting, Wylie, I was in no hurry to make it bloom earlier but it has spent the whole time in the kitchen since I got it. It gets a lot more light there but in the living room it would have got more heat as it's warmer than the kitchen.

Beautiful flower, gorgeous color. Mine is dorment by now. We had sunny hot days, unnusual for this time of the year.

To have this on a cold grey day must be a real tonic. I think they should give us them at the Drs. instead of meds...:))
