Camellia and offsping.

Camellia and offsping. (Camellia japonica (Camellia))

My original Camellia which I pruned into a lollypop standard. The second pic is one of 2 plants from cuttings to replace the original but have'nt done so as it is spectacular, and I have not the heart to do so! The third cutting is now about 1.5 m tall in the back garden.

Thanks Klahanie and Meadowland, I have already taken off a couple of stout stems to reduce its width as it was encroaching the drive way. The cuttings are about 5 years old I think.

Well they are stunning Siris, and.have done.very well under your care. I.love the bright red ones. These remind.me.of.visiting my son.in Sydney, where in September, all.the gardens had beautiful camellias.

Thanks Janey, this Camellia strikes cutting easily. Ive tried cuttings of next door's double white without success.

Wow! Sue, this looks amazing! An absolutely beautiful specimen. It must get lots of admiring looks as people pass by!

Thank U Kate, but after the stormy winds, the drive is covered in red "confetti"
