I took this picture from living room. Originally, I did not see the hummingbird Only when I zoomed in I noticed it.
It's quite a distance. I was pleased with the picture.

A beautiful bird in a beautiful tree! Still can't get over the idea that in Canada you can have hummingbirds even in the middle of all the snow you have! They seem like they should freeze to death in 5 mins of being exposed to the terrible cold!
As they are mostly associated with the rain forests of South America I suppose that's where I get the idea! So if they can survive in your climate they should have even less trouble surviving in ours!
Can they survive there if not fed by humans?

Good shot there, Klahanie! You've captured it well and clear, gorgeous colours.. Good contrast with the magnolia.
