What a beautiful tulip!!! I think I have to agree, has a resemblance to a peony or a rose.

Janey, I grew some of these when Mum was still around and she absolutely loved them ... thanks for showing them ... :o))

Thank you Kate, they've done well and have taken all the weather conditions on the chin.
They're not too tall, and I love them..:)
Lovely memories Shirley, and the first time I grew these were the bulbs my Mum gave me!
With these I grew Blue Spectable, but they are too tall with a very heavy head to them so not a good doer in wind and rain. These have a light scent too, not the waxy scent of single tulips..

We'll I hope they open soon Paul, maybe they're a later variety? Yes we need the sun, and to stay for a while..
