This Acer is quite old and was more than ready to be repotted...whilst normally I would have done this in the Spring,my impatience got the better of me.I not only repotted it in midst Summer,but pruned a 1/3 of its top.
Amazingly it has responded well and produced fresh growth.I think I was lucky there.

That’s interesting Julia … I had thought that Acers didn’t like being pruned … wrong again!
