We can see the Cheddar Cliffs today! 51km! The settlement of Enmore Green at the bottom of the Hill was the source of water for Shaftesbury before pipes were installed. There must be a Spring down there as there is no waterway nearby. The nearest River is the Stour, 4miles away at Gillingham. Still, in Medieval times they mostly drank Ale I believe. :)

Thanks Akate! I meant to say on the philadelphus…’Little White Love’ from Hayloft is a dwarf variety. I’ll be growing lots of dwarf plants in my next garden!
