Oh good. I think they'll see me out before height becomes a problem! I'm after more green and more interesting leaves..

They have a lovely autumn colour and very hardy. Mine is in a pot to stop it getting too big. They're easy to take cuttings from too, and I have given some to a few GoY members in the past.

Thanks for the info., Hywel. How did you take the cuttings? Burncoose is a wonderful nursery and they have quite a few different gingkos in their listings. They are good for less usual plants.

I took them like ordinary cuttings, broke a small branch off, cut it under a node and stuck it in some compost.
Interesting to know there are different varieties. Mine is the ordinary one :)

When we had our smallholding Ange, we grew a Ginko tree in the orchard.
