Spring and early Summer selection. 🌷

Planted lots of bulbs today, lots of pinks and mauves.
I wanted some that bloomed in Spring but also heading in to Summer too.
Last weekend, when I was covering the hospital on Sunday, OH had reorganised an area and planted a large variegated Holly, a topiary balled Ilex and an Aucuba variegated. So we had space for bulbs en masse.

Sounds like OH did a good job Kate. Hope the bulbs do really well for you.

Thank you, Sheila! I admit, it took a little while to choose which ones I'd like best!

Thanks Karen. I chose the vivid pink ones first - definitely went in my basket with no qualms.

Thank you, Linda! It's a sort of first for us. We have alliums, snowdrops and crocus..others we've tried with not much luck. So fingers crossed!
OH likes formality in the front and back! I have to often sneak an ornamental grass or a non compact plant in!
Think he enjoyed it though!

going to have to put mine in pots! I waited too late into Nov. and now the ground is frozen. I keep planting but very few emerge... then I noticed that other bulbs I planted seemed to do very well..but never tulips. I think I have a gourmet squirrel living here abouts.

You've been so busy with do many other things, Lori, all of a sudden, the weather changes and as you say, the ground freezes.
You'll have a lovely display of bulbs in pots I'm sure. Plus, it does sound like you're keeping one or 2 happy squirrels stocked up for winter ; -)
