Kate, 1st March today found us driving through a hailstorm ... nuff said!

I sympathise!!!! It's very windy and wet here today. Pretty miserable really. Not the best start to March!

Lovely flower on your Hellibore Shirley. Yes, our soil is very wet and some of my plants in the pots have gone rotten.
It's another grey day here, but we'll go down to the river and feed the Ducks and Geese. Haven't seen our pair of Swans and wondered if they were thinking of nesting. Bought the night camera in yesterday and the hedgehogs were ambling round the garden.

Thanks Lindak, I have managed to use a hand fork and trowel for an hour today to turn the compacted soil over.
A friend of mine has a Hedgehog in her garden now ... she's waited 5 years for one to use the box.

How lovely is that. I've just been outside to put some food out for them. At least you are getting going with the gardening. The main thing is don't do too much to start with. I went out and cut the old snowdrop flowers off the plants and cleared around the edges of the lawn as Gerry cut the grass.

Little by little, that's how I'm gardening at the moment.
