Some considered shopping!

Some considered shopping! (Coronilla valentina (Coronille))

I am being very restrained and only buying plants that I wish to grow in my back garden. Using them to cheer up the front for the time being. Here I have a lovely Almond Tree which will always be in a pot as they cannot tolerate ANY clay. Luckily it is grafted on to a dwarfing rootstock. Then there is a patio (dwarf rootstock again) Cherry ‘Stellata’, a little prostrate Rosemary on a short single stem and a Coronilla Valentina ‘Citrina’, which has always been a favourite of mine for its scent and extremely long flowering period. This one is a bit straggly and will need a frame to tie it to. You can prune them, but they don’t respond well to hard pruning as I discovered to my cost with my last one. Smell reminds me of Jonquils. They require some shelter. All but the. Pro ills will eventually go in the back garden.

Definitely off to a flying start! Great buys here, Karen! I think the Almond will be pretty in the pot, looks good now.
I’m still waiting on my rosemary shrubs up on the bund blooming - this is the first year they haven’t bloomed before March. Love your lovely potted one.
