Rufous hummingbird is back

You would hardly think he was real Klahanie, such a tiny little fellow.

That’s a beautiful hummingbird! The hummingbirds have nested and all the babies have flown away. Beginning of January the hummingbirds build their nest here, and by mid-February the babies are gone.

That’s funny! When I see the hummingbirds collecting the lint from my neighbor’s dryer exhaust in early January, I know what they’ve doing. It’s amazing how quickly the baby hummingbirds are gone from the nest.

I have a pic of the hummingbirds in their nest the day before they flew away. I think I may post the pic.
