Hydrangea ‘Ruby Annabelle’

This Hydrangea needs support, at least in its early years. The flowers aren’t huge, but the stems are weak. But I absolutely love it. Deep reddish pink in bud, opening to paler pink flowers which then gradually deepen again to this gorgeous Ruby red. Behind is that lovely bi-coloured Salvia greggii. I love it so much I have 5 along the sunny border. The hydrangea that is!

I love Hydrangeas and one of my borders is mostly them.
If I had room I would buy more!

I've been watching youtube videos of a small urban Canadian garden where the owner grows mostly hydrangeas. En masse in a small garden they look wonderful. I'm sure yours will too, Karen.
