WOW! 5 or 6 bees - altogether on 1 flower! WOW! I've hardly seen that many this summer so far let alone on 1 single flower!!! 😲

They do love these flowers Balc and they seem to enjoy the garden too. I have bumble bees nesting in my compost bin! When I take the lid off to put in some garden waste, out they come, large ones and small ones so I leave it off till the end of day and put it back on when it's bed time..:))

Yes I am pleased to see them all Sheila.

That's good to know, Janey! I see a few on the balcony but not nearly as many as I used to see.

I just wish this plant would stand up straight! Even in its collapsed form my bees love it.

I think my garden needs an Echinops! Every day, one bee comes to the dying lavender, trying each head in turn … I feel so sorry for him. I’ve told him to try the Nepeta but he won’t listen (must be male 🙂).

They must love your balcony if flowers Balc..:)

Haha Ange, I know what you mean, I think next year I'll look for a more compact type. Don't they just love the flowers...

Oh Sheila, aw, I clipped my lavenders back yesterday and there are new flowering stems coming.
He sounds to be very determined, against all odds, definitely male..:))

Smashing pic, Janey!!! So lovely to see.
We've had quite a number on the lavender and some roses.

In spite of having 100s of flowers on the balcony I don't see very many bees at all. Years ago there used to be many but nowadays if I see one a day then that's fantastic! 👏 👍Rather sad really! It's the same with hoverflies or even wasps or even butterflies I used to see lots but not any more! 😥

Aw thanks Kate, it's good that they're having a busy summer with lots of flowers to enjoy..

It's been a bad spring for lots of the pollinators Balc with the cold rain. I haven't seen hoverflies either and very few butterflies, it's pretty sad isn't it..
