A gift to OH

This bottle of whisky has arrived from our family in Australia to celebrate OH's 80th birthday tomorrow! (Delivery more reliable than cards in the post :))

August 28th... so I've celebrated mine for this year!

I hope the b'day was a good one.

It was, especially liked the gift of a book by Rachel de Thame (A Flower Garden for Pollinators) plus a very generous garden gift voucher. My family know me well!

Sounds like a good read, Shirley.

Rachel does name many plants throughout each season that will attract pollinators, some I have in my garden, others are new to me and yes, it is a good read.

MY OH is a Virgo as well. The celebration is coming soon.

You’re very kind Kate, thank you. We were amazed to receive this from Mike as they don’t usually exchange presents. It was a good thought though as the cards from the grandkids arrived 17 days late!! Probably because Chiara and Frankie went to a lot of trouble with their home-made works of art 🙂.

The garden has matured beautifully. I should think you must be very happy! X

I feel the same way about ours Sheila. The landscaper was terrific and we got a great result. Just shows, that sometimes letting go of the reins isn’t as bad as we fear! I was so stressed out!
