Acer in its autumn jacket. (Acer palmatum dissectum)

Our first acer, a palmatum dissectum. We had it in a pot for the first few years. It's been in the ground for over a decade. More of an umbrella shape, with slow height growth.

Lovely Acer to have Kate. We have one the same and It's low growing and spreads across. I have to thin it out now and again. Lovely display of colour though.

Thank you kindly, ladies! I'm not sure of its name, sadly. I wish I'd kept hold of the label, or stored it safely.
OH usually prunes and thins out our Acers.
It does sound like the description you give of yours, Julia.
Klahanie, I must look at Crimson Queen thank you.
Thanks again everyone ๐Ÿ˜Š
