Gorgeous aren't they!
Sheila, we watched that episode too!!! Fantastic wasn't it, he also showed you how to take cuttings, which was interesting.

The propagation technique was brilliant.

I seem to have missed that one!

A beautiful colour, Janey. I saw the GW section too and thought it brilliant, especially the propogation, as Shirley said.

Thanks Karen..

Yes I did Shirley, it was really interesting and they had some beauties, lovely colours.

It was so interesting Kate. It would be great to create your own.

I think one in my garden is enough Rose. They had such pretty colours. The flowers are like nothing else aren't they..:)

It's worth watching on iPlayer Karen

They were so passionate about them Ange and yes to them they really were passion flowers!

Janey, I remember there was a series on TV years ago introduced by Anna Pavord about enthusiasts who raved over their particular group of favourites. It was funny, eccentric, informative and great gardening TV. The gardeners were all equivalent to these two who raved about their passionflowers, and I wish they would show it again. So much more fun than the relentlessly staid "GW".

I don't remember that Ange, but yes a bit more oomph wouldn't go amiss with GW, I must admit. I do enjoy the houseplant folks though, you do get some real passion there. I cleaned the leaves of mine yesterday and they're looking very smart now. I did feed them during the summer with weak liquid seaweed and they're looking very healthy even though I say so myself! ...:))

Well, I watched it tonight. I used to have the start of a passion flower obsession. The truth is they are huge plants and the tender ones cannot be contained in a domestic setting (conservatory) . They also leak sticky sap. So my advice would be stick to the hardy ones! Interesting propagation hack!

You've reminded me I have to have a tidy-up/clear out of my houseplants. I have far too many and some are only hanging on by the skin of their teeth. Not the green glory I hoped they would be... :-(
