Cosmos flowering in planter by cash machine 3rd November 2024

The Cosmos seem to be enjoying their late flowering.

Amazing to see it doing so well in November Balc. You must be really pleased with it..:)

Thank you all for your comments & likes on the Cosmos. They are certainly growing very well & they have been flowering for several months now. They began to flower on 16th August only 3 weeks after being planted out! So it's nearly 4 months now they have been flowering & they have never looked better than they do at the present moment - which makes it all the sadder that I shall have to pull them up on Friday to plant some Daffodils & possibly Pansies in their place!

I've already done the first 2 planters but this one I've been leaving a bit longer because of the great show the Cosmos are giving! You will find a few photos in my photos after I upload them shortly.

I didn't pull them out on Friday but by Tuesday at the very latest they will be removed.

It's our last brown bin day Tuesday so we've pruned the roses and pulled out different plants now and I've hoed the beds before the bulbs start to grow....It's a cosmos year again next year as they are so colourful and the butterflies and bees love them.

I finally pulled the Cosmos plants out of the container around the cash machine this afternoon - with the help of my granddaughter! Our son came round with some spent compost & between us we dumped it into the planter.
