Ginko tree in autumn colour

Is it unusual for the leaves to stay so long? My Prunus Autumnalis has quite a bit of blossom now, but it’s practically hidden by the tree still being in leaf!

Great picture, Janey! The only Ginko tree I've ever seen was in the Cambridge Botanical Gardens many years ago.

Yes, they are lingering longer this autumn Sheila. I always wished I'd planted the prunus autumnalis. Love the dainty flowers this time of year. Annoying that you can't see them though!

Thanks Balc. I did think it was a birch until closer inspection of the leaves.
That would be a real treat to visit the Cambridge Botanical Gardens, you must have enjoyed it very much..

Thanks Janey, many leaves have dropped in the last 24 hours, so now the blossom is much more visible 🙂.

I did, Janey! 👍But the visits were so short I could have spent many more hours there!

How the weather has altered things so quickly Sheila. Good you can see the blossoms now..:)

Yes, I would think you'd need at least a couple of days Balc to take it all in?
