Great picture, Janey! The only Ginko tree I've ever seen was in the Cambridge Botanical Gardens many years ago.

Yes, they are lingering longer this autumn Sheila. I always wished I'd planted the prunus autumnalis. Love the dainty flowers this time of year. Annoying that you can't see them though!
Thanks Balc. I did think it was a birch until closer inspection of the leaves.
That would be a real treat to visit the Cambridge Botanical Gardens, you must have enjoyed it very much..

Thanks Janey, many leaves have dropped in the last 24 hours, so now the blossom is much more visible 🙂.

Is it unusual for the leaves to stay so long? My Prunus Autumnalis has quite a bit of blossom now, but it’s practically hidden by the tree still being in leaf!
