Balcony, thank you so much for telling me the name of these lovely little flowers. I bought them last year and this year they've excelled themselves. They are in full sun out the front.

You're welcome, lindak! :) I wish mine had survived!

Hi Balcony. Why not try growing them in a different place on your balcony, or is it all in a shaded area?

There is no real shade on the balcony after about 1pm! It's in full sun for most of the day; the sun starts to enter about 11am & then continues all day till sundown.

Just one thing about this flower: you have to be careful about the sap, and it recommends wearing gloves when handling it.

Yes, I've read about it but personally it didn't bother me, perhaps because I didn't get any sap on my hands while planting it out & as it died "in situ" during a winter when I removed its remains the following spring there was nothing to bother me.
But this advice should be taken seriously!

These are lovely Pulsatilla vulgaris or Pasque flowers, Lindak! A fried came me some a few years ago but they only survived 1 year on the balcony! :(
