Special Friends

I have 2 Doves 2 that visit me every day on my Bird Feeding Table on Apple Tree :)

That's a lovely story, they are so gentle too.

A lot more Collared doves around these days. Attractive birds.
Unfortunately, in my area, this has tempted the Sparrow hawks to swoop around.
They think doves would make a good meal.
The doves don't help by perching like 'sitting ducks' on top of the fence.
So far, the hawk hasn't caught a dove in my garden.
Probably because I'm at home a lot with my dogs.

I have several doves and they do the same thing they skim the top of my head when i,m outside and make a noise as if to say" .don,t forget us "
They have built their nests under my front porch for several years , It,s nice because I can look into their nest from my window and watch the young ones grow . The last lot were ready to fly when I flashed my camera at them ,the flash made them instantly fly off quicker than they wanted to go .I feed them sunflower seeds it,s getting a bit expensive now with more of them !!!
Maybe they are becoming to dependant on humans .
