A bumblebee flying to the next Japanese Anemone flower. This is the first year that this anemone has bloomed so well for me. The flowers remind me of a painting of Japanese cherry blossoms.

No Terratoonie, I don't think I've had them long enough to be invasive YET, but I've heard from other people that they can be. I'm trying to fill in my back yard so I don't have to mow...........so I welcome invasive back there !
What color are yours? I got these pink ones in a plant trade 2 years ago and this spring I got a white one at the trade that just bloomed one single bloom so far. I love both colors.

My Japanese Anemone is white, and I'm guessing might be a bit more invasive than the other colours. That's just a guess, based on the fact that I planted a pinkish one a couple of years ago, which has so far produced only leaves - not really got going yet.
You have some beautiful photos. So far I've only uploaded one photo (my Shetland Sheepdog) because I'm just learning how to resize pictures.
The Japanese Anemone certainly gives some end of summer colour when other plants might be finishing their flowering season.

I have Japanese anemone plants flowering here.
Do you find yours are a bit invasive in your garden?
I can see mine out of my window right now.
They are near my bird feeders.
I like the way you have the bee exactly between the flowers.
Excellent picture.
