Thank you David and Ams! My husband and I would have been married 35 yrs. this month and the weather co-insided with my tears that day. I love the song from of course David, the wizard of oz! I needed to see one and I am taking to heart the promise of it!

Hi Pollyanna! I saw the extract from the song under another of your marvellous rainbow pics and, of course, recognised it immediately. We love seeing rainbows here at home, the kids get quite excited by them! They always seem to indicate a leap forward, to an unknown/ better future/dream, in my own idealism. I don't, of course, know the background to the "would have been" part of your comment. All I can say is, that, I hope, the sun caught your tears and transformed them into a lovely rainbow of colour and promise. X

That's lovely David, and this pic is too, look , at the golden glow from the sun on the trees.

Janey, now that I look again, I see the glow. Trees are amazing to me. They outlast us all, and see so much of what we've never seen, and will never see. Pollyanna, this is a beautiful example of how a picture can paint a thousand words - marvellous!

Thank you Janey and David I have to confess that I too went back and took another look and it sure made me realize how speeded up my life really is. Even though I am supposedly in my slow down years! lol! David you have such a wonderful outlook and perspective on life and the world around us. You and Janey are great examples of the the special people that make up GOY!

A double rainbow - usually hard to photograph both and get them as you have done. I told you to go into photography as a hobby. You can do it - your photos prove it.
