How cute! I love frogs & toads! Guess now your little ducks have company! Your pond must have met with approval.

Thanks Grammazoo... Not sure if it's a frog or a toad. Can you tell ? By the way... are your trees turning color up there ? They are here and quite a bit. Very early I think.

This certainly is a fine looking specimen what ever it is! lol! Really good shot Mike!

And fall is in the air in my corner of the world too although a friend just told me that with the wind wer'e getting the past few days it maybe will usher in (to be politically correct) a North American Summer! (somehow it just doesn't sound the same does it)?
Anyway I hope he's right cause we sure got it coming to us!!

Yes we do have it coming to us Pollyannaever. I always look forward to what we call Indian Summer. That's when it gets very sunny and warm after we've had the first major frost. I think thats when autumn is the most enjoyable. I was very happy to get a picture of the frog/toad Grammazoo. I knew there was one around because I would hear it jumping in the pond when I got close but never saw it. There it was today sunning itself and I was about 8 inches away from it with my camera and it just sat there :)

Thank you Mike for saying it the way we have always said it and no harm meant!! That really was a terrific shot Mike!

Great pic. here they call "Indian summer" "Old women's summer"!! We are still in full summer it seems, forecasts of 35C this week. This is tooooo hot for September in my book.

Well Pollyannaever whatever it's called I sure love it when we get it. How interesting that in Chris's part of the world they call it Old Woman's Summer. Yes Chris, 35c is very hot for this time of the year. It was almost that here today. I'll take a little cooler please :)

Well, this old woman sure would enjoy a long spell of it to make up for all that cold wet spring weather!! We are having a bit of true summer (finally) just now with almost 2 whole weeks of sunshine! I am not a fan of humidity but it sure is nice to feel the sunlight! No leaves turning just yet, Mike, but I have a gut feeling that it will be an early winter this year - hope I am wrong.
Not sure about your little friend, mt best guess would be frog, due to his skin texture, but it is just that, a guess. I'll bet DiOhio would know though; she is really in tune with all the garden creatures. Congrats on getting close enough to catch him on film. They are really quick to disappear into the water.

He's a frog.......probably a Common Green frog ! Mine used to sit in the middle of a water lettuce too, like it was a throan just made for them ! I can't put water lettuce in the pond now because the Koi eat all of the roots off. Nice shot Mike !
