Just Resting? or Guarding !

They are such a blast to watch aren't they ?! She's just waiting for another hummer to come by ,so she can give them a piece of her mind...lol.

My gosh yes ! I'm going to really miss them when they leave. I think they have already started to head south because I'm not making as much nectar daily as I used to.
I saw her sitting on this same bud again today. And you're right. Anyone flying even slightly close to her Canna got chased and scolded !

Oh that's lovely!... The flowers on your cannas are more dainty than mine...will have to look for Wyoming...I've become a canna nut!
it's now almost a month later than your picture and my cannas are still going...hummers have been gone for some time now.

A few of mine are still blooming Lori, and I think now my hummers are all gone too. The last I saw one was last Tuesday (Sept. 30)........before that there were still at least 4 here. I really miss them.
