Yours are well ahead! Mine are just beginning to bud. I saw a variegated one at the AG Show but I resisted it - somehow!

That's a lovely example Amy. I've tried this twice, but for some reason...the weather of course....it never really looks good. The purple just doesn't seem to shine like yours.

I wonder if it's the soil Karen ours is acidic , it's aways a shame when you would like something to grow but it doesn't come up to your expectations .. :o(

Well, we have neutral - slightly acidic soil here Amy, so I don't think that's it. It grows OK, but it just never looks very colourful. Thanks anyway.
