Hi Clairefifi... I've heard from numerous goY folk in Merrie England that you've had a very dark, wet summer... my sympathies.. we had more rain than usual this summer but it was always interspersed with nice warm sunshine and the gardens grew like mad! September, however, has been very sunny and dry...

Lori, I love it....What is that soft but spiky looking spring green plant in the foreground? It's beautiful.

Hi Skippy! that's a Cosmos... this one is from seed planted in June, believe it or not...? I didn't think I'd see results from that planting but it's just coming into blossom... posted a pic...its white with a pink blush in the centre...The foliage of cosmos and nigella are so lacy that I love to see them planted together ...the taller cosmos to the back and the nigella nearer the front of the border.

Wonderful shot. My cosmos went outside right before a late frost. I hope to see a glimmer of this next year.

Fabulous colours - especially the unusual hue of "sunlit green", not seen much this year !
