This is the easiest bit in the garden and always looks good. No weeding to do. The ivy used to grow over from next door.. always a pain but they've re-done the fencing last week and the ivy has gone.. yippee. What bits return will get a full blast of my weedkiller.

Mmmm....I love gravel gardens....the grasses look great, I've put them in my tubs too for Winter.

I have a neighbour who plants new ivy and encourages her old ivy -
ALL into my garden. What do you do to kill the ivy?

I have done the full rounds trying to control the ivy. Removing individual pieces, very painstaking work. Weed killer sprayed on, not massively effective. Painting weed killing gel on, boring but does seem to work particularly if you paint the underside of the leaves. I'm hoping that now the main massive bunch has gone that I'll be able to keep on top of it.

Underside of leaves.
Oooooh - sneaky.
Thanks for that tip.
I guess the rain wouldn't wash any killer off so quickly that way.
Thanks Sal1914.

I think that the top of the leaves are so glossy that the weed killer just dries on them and doesn't seem to soak in.
