"Sassy Brat"

"Sassy Brat"

Here is another of my rescued cats. Found her as a kitten at a campground. She was on the bank of a 15 foot wide steam, along with her 2 brothers. She was the first to swim across the water to us. Her brothers followed when they saw she was being fed leftover chicken from our picnic lunch. Of course, all 3 had to go to the vet for upper respiratory infections after that swim. I was able to find a home for one of them but Brat and her brother, Boy (I know, I know, really original names but I didn't intend to keep them) Well, 5 years later and they still wander my halls. Brat truly lives up to her name. She is the smallest cat but terrorizes the other two; especially, if she thinks I'm not looking. When I hollar at her she just sasses me. She can "MEOW" just as loud as I can hollar.

She is called a tuxedo cat. (Based on her coloring) Sounds like I don't like her but notice she is posed in the middle of my bed where she spends a lot of her time. (I just hate it when she hides around a corner and waits for my poor little two and a half pound dog to walk by then bats my dog a good one while prepared to run like a cheetah if I observe her)

What a character! I love cats with strong personalities; despite the extra challenges they are almost human.

For being such a terrorist, she hates storms. If she hears thunder she will shake my security door until I open it then she crawls in with her belly hugging the floor. She heads straight under the bed and "Meows" every time the thunder roars. She should be grateful that our storms are few and far between.

Tell Brat she is a Scaredy Cat, that will bring her down to size ;-)

Ams, if I did that she would just sass me. She always has to have the last word, Oops, I mean the last MEOW....

What a brave cat to swim across a river! And she is soo beautiful. And how cattish of her to sass you for your trouble. I wish I had thought of a great name like "Brat", I call one of mine "Puss"!

Fabulous girl; and by the look of her she lives up to her name! My cat is very frail now; and as i've not mastered putting photographs onto this infernal machine she remains an enigma. Her name is Suna; for anyone old enough to remember,Suna Portman; a very elegant model from the 1950's; all of my Blues have been called Suna. She loves Cyclamen and bites off the flowers, then lays them out as presents; but they make her ill so i can no longer keep them.
Love the website. Kiki
