Thanks, TT. They are so tactile too, aren't they? They were reduced to £1 each so I bought all five that were left. "Hair Toffee" came into my mind, but I could also use this as the hair of the Oompa-Loompas we plan to make (? ! * ?)

Only a couple of feet I think, Janette. There's an older one in our front garden.

Yes, the grasses are very tactile.
Idea for hair is good.
Oompa-Loompas might get a bit bald in springtime, when the birds steal the grass for their nests. :o)

I'll need to buy them hair-nets then, won't I ?

I kept this grass in my last garden and it does tend to seed very well. I have got some of the baby plants with me for the new garden. I have started to dig along the flowerbed that runs along our drive but belongs to next door. They asked me if I would keep it going for them and I said yes, so I have pruned the shrubs right down that will do them good, dug out everything, separated the clumps of bulbs and replanted them, put in cyclamen, polyanthus and heathers and it looks great.

I didn't realise this, Linda. There is one in our new front garden, but no others which have self-seeded. You have been busy! Sounds like you've already extended your plot before beginning on your main one. Pics? I'm off to have a look!
