Coleus Grouping

They had several types of coleus, usually mixed with 2 colors in each bed.

Coleus grouping is very common in the Southern United States. In some areas they also live for a couple of years before they need to be replaced.
Most of my Coleus plants live two or three Summers before they get too woody and need to be replaced. My plants are blooming now...however, it is best to cut the flowers off to prevent the plants from declining or dying.

This garden had several varieties of coleus. They tend to replace the planting beds seasonally. I try to visit every couple months, and there is always something new to see. I just took this pic, so this is probably their late summer/fall set. They had some pretty wildflowers in that bed last time. That's good to know that it is good to cut the flowers to keep them healthier.
I'll see if I can get some pics of the other coleus they have next visit.
