I am sure it is, they grow wild here and I thought I did see a picture of it on this site. Thanks Donnah16 for sharing the name.

Very pretty photo! I posted an Orange Clockvine (Thunbergia gregorii) yesterday. It has a similar flower to Black Eyed Susan or Susie (Thunbergia alata)...however, orange clockvine has pure orange flowers.

I purchased a Blushing Susan (Thunbergia alata 'Blushing Susan or Susie) two months ago. Blushing Susan has salmon to blush-pink flowers with black throats.
These plants grow very quickly and can cover a HUGE area in just a year or two.

Interesting that they grow wild in Fiji. I have one in my garden.

Yes they do and they cover a large area , a very pretty sight too.

Many species of Thunbergia actually grow wild here in San Diego also.
The reason is they grow and cover such a large area, the birds transfer seeds throughout a huge area. They are very similar to Nasturtiums...when we get the Winters rains Nasturtiums grow wild everywhere and blooms, however, they die down in Summer when it's dry... although, Thunbergia keeps growing and growing and growing! LOL.

I agree with Chrispook, my father in law gave me one he had grown from seed!!
