Mornings

Morning sun. This is the sight as I leave the house at 9 o'clock. The long dark is setting in. :-)

Does it lighten up a bit more or this as light as it gets during your dark season?

Lovely photo Greenthumb, look more like our evening sunsets , how many hours of sunlight do you get?

I am not enjoying the longer nights here either , its not like yours but until the winter solstice it just gets worse & and worse until I think we are down to around 7-8 hours of daylight...makes me goofy. How do you deal with it GT? This is a very beautiful picture..is there snow on the trees...?

Thank all of you for your comments. I'll post a high day shot to give some contrast to this morning, it does get lighter Skippy. My direct sun is only about 1 hr and about to be gone until mid January at the house. Sun is up about 10 and down about 4 right now. Sunrise and sunset are about 2-3 hours long. It's long dark but I'm under my light, so I feel spoiled. :-)

Twilight is a beautiful time, but I think that I would miss the sunlight for that long. I do envy your wide open spaces and solitude...

Sometimes I think the indoor garden is tending me, Grammazoo. Its wonderful to garden and listen to my fountain while the world outside is all icy blues and snow white and pink sunset. The dark is not as awful as it sounds, but not for everyone. :-)

What a wonderful picture you describe of the quiet cold outside, and the warm happy plants indoors, keeping you cheerful. :o)

~you pack more into your indoor garden than some do into their garden outside~and you do seem to have a greenthumb!
~If you can get some pics to show us what it's like during the daylight~ i'm sure we will all be pleased!
~it sounds fascinating~ but I think you are one of a rare breed to be able to cope as you do!
Take care
Arlene
