Greyia sutherlandii - Natal Bottlebrush

This is a young blooming Natal Bottlebrush...which is not a relative of the Australian Bottlebrush. It is not in the Myrtaceae family but the Greyiaceae family. It's blooming about 2 months earlier than it should normally. Pic taken Dec. 21, 2008.

Plants blooming out of the normal time is not too unusual here, however, some of the species of plants I've noticed blooming this year are highly unusual. I will post more soon.
