Downtown San Diego

Downtown San Diego

After spending some time with my other half at Pacific Beach we went to an early New Year's Dinner at "C level" restaurant. Which has an incredible view of Downtown from the outdoor patio area, which was very popular and crowded. Unfortunately, it was a little hazy today...not the usual very blue sky we're used to.

Sandra, yes it is always busy on San Diego Bay...people sailing, jet-skiing, cruise ships as you can see... and the across the bay is North Island/Coronado Island where there's a large military presence and many large ships and aircraft carriers. I'll take a pic of the full bay in the near future.

Janey, it is usual for it to be very sunny and warm and crystal clear in January, however, it was hazy because it's been foggy in the morning.

Thank for the comments.

Yup we got people here ice sailing, snow skiing, ice breaker ships etc... I'm not jealous just miss summer, you have it all year. My mother inlaw lives there and she has never visited us but only in the summer. She complained when she went to my sis inlaws in Arizona for Xmas that it was too cold. Look out I'm moving down there soon as Prez Obahma lets me!

Nice photo and will be waiting for the rest of your bay photos. Need some snow?

Pink floyd:

It seems you have a lot of Winter sports for fun, although it may be very cold.

It was actually pretty chilly this past Christmas Day by San Diego standards. It actually felt like Christmas this year...and wasn't around 80 degrees F. like in some years past.

I'm sure if you move to San Diego...you'll love it, there's always something interesting to do. It's motto is: "America's Finest City"...it is after all the 7th largest city (by population) in the U.S.

I'll be posting new photos of San Diego soon.

San Diego is gods city. It is so clean and beautiful there. I was there once and love to come back again. I would post more photos but 1.) my camera will probably screw up like it did last time I tried to take outside photos and 2.) you would be bored with all that white stuff.

Marguerite,

We very rarely get smog in San Diego...it was very hazy this day, however, because the morning was foggy. Most of the time the sky is extremely blue and clear. Many people come to San Diego on weekends from the Los Angeles area...to get away from the smog.
