Ah-ha! That explains it all. What did you stuff them with? How do you get them to open their beaks so you can stuff the whatever in?

They stay so long because they are so well fed they can't take off, lol.

Loved your photos,think I must learn how to use hubby,s camera cos,mine is aim and fire idiot proof and I have noticed an increase of birds in and around garden this year.Looking forward to next ones.

Nice lighting in this one :-) I heard/read somewhere that the width of the black stripe indicates dominence and that a bird with a thinner stripe will give way to a 'thick stripe' at a feeder.

Really Sid ? Now hadn t heard that but would make sense as suppose the fatter and bigger they get the broader the stripe .. someone said once reminded them of a little waistcoat so guess it looks like his buttons will pop !
